Because tennis is an individual sport, we honor your unique learning process and understand there is no one size fits all approach to improvement. 

Tennis Point NYC offers a home friendly atmosphere while we provide loads of personalized attention and get to know you really well. Every challenge, obstacle you have, we had it too, we know exactly how you feel inside your game. Our players grow fast in their knowledge, skills and results.

Located just a drop shot from Grand Central Station, Tennis Point NYC offers its programs for Adults and Juniors all year round.
All clinics are guided by certified PTR tennis professionals.

Tennis court is on the 39th floor of the UN Hilton Hotel, air-conditioned with plenty of space, an accessible bathroom, water fountain and lockers for daily use.

Please note that we do not offer hourly court rentals; we exclusively conduct tennis clinics.

TO REGISTER FOR ANY OF THE CLINICS, PLEASE SEND US AN EMAIL WITH YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION AND LET US KNOW IN WHICH CLINIC YOU ARE INTERESTED IN.
As noted below, if you commit to a six weeks package, classes per session will be cheaper then when you sign up for a single session.

Our program runs year-round, divided into a Winter season (September to June) and a Summer season (June to September). Most of our players participate on a seasonal basis. If seasonal spots are not fully filled, we ffer packages for six consecutive weeks. Please note that we provide makeup sessions for missed classes if given at least 48 hours' notice, subject to availability.

Adults Program

Whether you're new to the game, a weekend league veteran or somewhere in between, we have something for you. Tennis Point NYC offers a challenging, innovative programs designed to meet comprehensive needs of wide range tennis players. 

Lessons feature stroke development and refinement for both basic and advanced skills, the use of spin, repetitive & tactical drills, competitive situations and video analysis. Group sizes depends on the specific program but anywhere from 4-6 players per court, per pro.

    Beginner - These clinics are ideal for anyone returning to play after a long break or taking up tennis for the first time. Game-based learning is used to emphasise basic stroke production, including forehand & backhand groundstrokes, serve & return, volleys & overhead techniques.

    Games and point-based scenarios are used to reinforce technipque and introduce basic tactics for singles and doubles. This fundamental series gets you right into the game, apply techniques and tactics as they are learned and have fun - win or lose!

    Intermediate Clinic - Winning Pattern's Of Play - This program is for more experienced players looking to gain consistency. Instruction covers all areas of tennis with an emphasis on reinforcing proper swing mechanics, minimising errors and developing a more tactical approach to point play.

    Modified game based learning so you become accustomed to a live ball situations that you will face in a match play. Each game emphasizes at least one key element of a winning game. You will love learning secrets of strategy used by the pros that makes the game look so easy, as well as this simple approach for play and practice.

    Advanced Clinic - Point Play - is for players who have played a lot of tennis over the years and continue to play regularly. Specific drills and point play scenarios are geared towards fine-tuning stroke technique, winning points through both offensive & defensive play and developing a sound individualised match strategy.

    These exercises put pressure on players to react to an incoming ball and focus on anticipation, decision making and reflexes in a realistic point-play situations. The variations of games and drills implemented here are proven winners. Point Play clinic is designed for advanced players who are looking for fast paced, intense and fun workout at the same time.

Juniors program 

Our mission is to provide the highest quality instruction to help every player reach their full potential. In accordance with USTA 10 and Under Tennis Format, we offer a variety of lessons for players ages 3 - 18. Our program focuses on developing fundamental skills and a passion for the game by incorporating engaging games that ensure learning is both enjoyable and rewarding.

Player development at our academy centers on fun, while building technical skills, a competitive mindset and strong character.  We achieve this through our core values: caring, respect, sportsmanship and responsibility. We demonstrate and encourage these behaviors at all times, believing these qualities are just as important to teach as a proper serve. By using positive coaching tools and providing an environment conducive to personal excellence, we aim to create winners both on the court and in life.     Quick Start - Red Balls - For many children, this program represents their first steps onto a tennis court. Our primary goal is to create a fun learning environment through age-appropriate activities designed to keep children active while developing essential motor skills, hand-eye coordination, balance, and agility. We emphasize proper technique alongside racket and ball control to ensure a strong foundation in the sport.

    Junior Development - Orange, Green, Yellow - Our program introduces basic match play while continuing to improve stroke fundamentals and footwork. We focus on helping players establish and maintain successful rallies, and we introduce beginning match strategies alongside point play practice. Through supervised live-ball drills and games, players will develop the necessary skills for competitive play. Our competitive drills are designed to simulate match competition for both singles and doubles.

ABOUT US

Nik grew up playing tennis on European red clay courts and brings a tremendous work ethic and passion to Tennis Point NYC. 

He has been an active player for over 25 years, draws from years of playing experience, which enriches his coaching style. Patience and upbeat approach creates fun learning experience for his students. 

Using his fun, enthusiastic personality to engage students on the court and In-depth knowledge of the physiology and tennis strategy attracts players of all levels and age. 
He teaches a methodical, well-organized lesson with a careful balance of instruction and game based drilling. These attributes give Nik the adaptability to work with all levels, from quick start tennis to tournament players. 

He has developed a unique understanding of how to achieve success on the court at highest levels.

It's no surprise that he gets his inspiration from another Serbian, Novak Djokovic!

Directions to the tennis court:
Take a 7, 4 or 6 train to Grand Central Station.
Walk East towards 44th Street between 1st and 2nd avenue to UN Millennium Plaza Hotel on the left side of street.
Enter main doors and turn RIGHT walkway past the coffe shop.
Make a left at the end of the walkway towards bank of elevators. Take elevator to 38th FLOOR. Once off elevator turn RIGHT then LEFT. Follow signs to Tennis court.
Look for EXIT/Tennis Court Sign on LEFT enter through this door and follow up stairs to the tennis court on the 39th Floor.
(In order to ride an elevator, you might need to request a temporary elevator key from the front desk personnel).
